About Us

New paintings of your favourite places on Savary

My acrylic paintings range from 12 inches x 14 inches up to 36 x 84. My favorite "Savary size" is 24 x 36 or 24 x 48. Prices start at about $200 and can go up to $1500 or more, depending on the size and image source. I gladly accept custom orders. Additionally, I feature art cards and paintings by our daughter, Sharilyn McCartie. Delivery on Savary Island, or shipping can be arranged as needed. The Gallery pages on this site showcase all my newest paintings and a selection of my older favorites. You can visit the Gallery at 1328 Tennyson Road, just west of Maclean Road in the south-west part of the island, near the Sugar Shack. I have been coming to Savary for many years -

First to enjoy the beaches and forest trails, then to build the cabin and watch our three children immerse themselves in the Savary summer lifestyle. Later, I added the gallery and began my art business, focusing on my acrylic paintings to share my vision of this beautiful island. This summer season of 2026 will mark my 17th year at the Savary Island Art Studio and Gallery.

Most of my paintings are done from my own photographs to recreate the experience I had at that place on that particular day.

I love to share these experiences with those who purchase my acrylic paintings to hang in their cabin or take to their off-season residence, allowing them to remember the beauty of Savary Island all year long. My work, which reflects the essence of Savary Island art, is priced to be affordable for all those who appreciate this stunning locale! My acrylic paintings are available for sale year-round and are showcased all summer at the Gallery at 1328 Tennyson Road, Savary Island. We will be open from early July to mid September, 2026. You can contact me during July and August at the Gallery - (604) 351 7586 (cell) and at my home in Aldergrove at that same number. Prices for my Savary Island Art range from $285 to $1600 and up, with most pieces falling between $700 and $1175.
